Mr. George Eleftherakos, aged 52, is the Chief Development Officer of the Athens International Airport since 2009. He is responsible for the Airport’ s commercial and property development, passenger terminal operations, construction projects and airport maintenance. He joined AIA in 1998 as a Project Manager of the fuel concession projects following an international career in the oil industry in the UK and Monaco. He gained his BEng in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London and his MPhil from TU Delft of the Netherlands, the Institut Francais du Petrol, in Paris and the Imperial College, in London.
