The\nExcellenSeas program which focuses on providing support to the academic progress\nof young students from Greek islands, broadens its activity moving further than\nproviding scholarships and gives the opportunity to those interested, to gain\nwork experience through participating in a short-term internship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The highly\nqualified scientific committee of the program has been assigned, among others, to\nprovide support and guidance to the participants, in the framework of which,\nthey will have the chance to boost their vocational orientation and gain\nprofessional experience by working as interns for short-term periods in the\nfield of their interest and under the supervision of the members of this\ncommittee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This kind\nof internship is available for both the undergraduate students who received the\nscholarship of ExcellenSeas and those who had applied but did not receive one\neventually. Besides, this new part of the ExcellenSeas program aims to provide\nfurther support to as many students as possible and through every stage of\ntheir academic progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Objective\nof this new initiative consists to provide as many chances and as broader\nguidance as possible to students coming from acritical\/remote islands, so that\nwe can act as factors of progress and excellence within a group of people that\ndeserves our actual support. At the same time, we aim to create a strong\ncommunity of graduates that will be in contact with the new generation of\nstudents from such islands and guide them as well to higher education and the\nopportunities deriving from it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
