The ExcellenSeas program which focuses on providing support to the academic progress of young students from Greek islands, broadens its activity moving further than providing scholarships and gives the opportunity to those interested, to gain work experience through participating in a short-term internship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The highly qualified scientific committee of the program has been assigned, among others, to provide support and guidance to the participants, in the framework of which, they will have the chance to boost their vocational orientation and gain professional experience by working as interns for short-term periods in the field of their interest and under the supervision of the members of this committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This kind of internship is available for both the undergraduate students who received the scholarship of ExcellenSeas and those who had applied but did not receive one eventually. Besides, this new part of the ExcellenSeas program aims to provide further support to as many students as possible and through every stage of their academic progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Objective of this new initiative consists to provide as many chances and as broader guidance as possible to students coming from acritical\/remote islands, so that we can act as factors of progress and excellence within a group of people that deserves our actual support. At the same time, we aim to create a strong community of graduates that will be in contact with the new generation of students from such islands and guide them as well to higher education and the opportunities deriving from it.
