Dear undergraduate,
The ExcellenSeas program which focuses on providing support to the academic progress of young students from Greek islands and on eliminating the obstacles to their excellence, broadens its activity and moves further than providing scholarships to the excellent students among them. Thus, the program addressing to students that applied for scholarship and did not receive one, and willing to provide to them guidance and support throughout their academic path, gives them the opportunity, if interested, to be in constant contact and receive guidance through specific advisory acts.
Such support, in advisory level, is provided by the highly qualified scientific committee of ExcellenSeas, which guides the students during their studies and helps them on issues related to their vocational or academic orientation. This way, each undergraduate stays in constant contact with a scientific advisor – member of this committee, who acts as their mentor.
Objective of this new initiative consists to provide as many chances and as broader guidance as possible to students coming from acritical/remote islands, so that we can act as factors of progress and excellence within a group of people that deserves our actual support. At the same time, we aim to create a strong community of graduates that will be in contact with the new generation of students from such islands and guide them as well to higher education and the opportunities deriving from it.
