2023 – Naxos Schinoussa Cross Swim
The Pastra Cretonaxiosa team, accompanied by champion Vasilis Sofikitis, successfully completed a 40-kilometer swim from Naxos Town to Schinoussa on Sunday, September 24, 2023. The event was held under the auspices of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
This year’s crossing was dedicated to the victims of recent wildfires and floods, aiming to raise funds for the “ExcellenSeas” scholarship program, which supports students from affected areas.
Our swimming team completed the relay in 12 hours, demonstrating the power of teamwork and dedication. The participants were Evgenia Giannini, Sotiris Pastras, Vasilis Sofikitis, Apostolos Tsagkarakis, Vaggelis Zourmpakis, and Kostas Michos.
The warm and festive welcome in Schinoussa filled everyone involved with joy and inspiration.
