Thymaina – Fournoi Cross Swim
As every year, this year as well, the team of Pastra Cretonaxiosa, is getting prepared for the annual cross swim in honor of the excellent students of the small distant Greek islands. This year, the swimming route covers a distance of 5 kilometers in the sea area between Thymaina and Fourni, scheduled for October 16, 2021.
The cross swim scheduled for 2021, bares an additional symbolism, as it will take place within the context of a two-day honorary event that will be held in co-organization with the Municipality of Fourni-Corseoi in memory of the former Mayor of the island I. Maroussis. Thus, during this event the vision of ExcellenSeas and the work that has been done for our distant islands, will be presented.
Therefore, the team is getting prepared for their impending swimming activity with great pleasure and enthusiasm, since they are about to honor, not only the students who are starting their own personal path in science and for whom Pastra Cretonaxiosa is already working on multiple levels, but also a person who had been of utmost importance for the region.
The swimmers participating in the cross swim are: Evgenia Giannini, Sotirios Pastras, Apostolos Tsagkarakis, Evaggelos Zourbakis, Konstantinos Michos and Vasileios Maroulis.

The cross swim takes place under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
